MyStacks Update 3.9.2 – New data navigation tools

September 24, 2026

This update introduces new data navigation controls across all MyStacks widgets. Users can now see at a glance the exact window of data being displayed, jump to a specific date and time directly from the dashboard, and examine specific data windows without accessing the widget configuration panel or repeatedly clicking previous / next.

Understand your scope of data at a glance

Relevant widgets now display a plain-language description of the current data window in the upper left corner, including:

  • The time range of data on display
  • Whether the window is moving (up to present time) or fixed to a specific start and end time
  • The number and type of time units being aggregated (minutes, hours, days, custom shifts, etc)

This makes the context for each visualization immediately visible without relying on the X-axis or opening the widget configuration.

Change your view instantly

The starting date and time shown in the widget is directly editable. Instead of repeatedly clicking ‘Previous’ to move through consecutive data windows, users can select a date and time to jump several days or weeks in one step.

Widgets configured to aggregate data over specific time periods, such as multi-tag reports using custom shifts, will snap the chosen data window to the beginning of the first aggregated period.

This is particularly useful when:

  • Troubleshooting an event or anomaly at a known time
  • Checking a particular production period across multiple assets
  • Quickly comparing performance across multiple work periods

Changes made using these controls are temporary and do not alter the widget’s saved configuration. Clicking the ‘Reset’ icon immediately returns the widget to its configured default view. The result is a faster path to accessing, comparing, and understanding your data.

Existing dashboard layouts stay the same

The former Previous, Next, and Reset controls have been consolidated into compact icons in the upper-right corner of applicable widgets. Their location is consistent throughout the platform, and overall widget dimensions and visualization space remain unchanged to ensure that existing dashboard layouts are not disrupted by this update.

A foundation for direct data navigation

This update establishes a new pattern for interacting with time-series data directly from the dashboard. We plan to expand this functionality to additional parts of the data-window description, including directly editing the duration and time unit.

This will make it possible to move naturally between perspectives, such as zooming in from a day of data to the hour surrounding an anomaly without changing the default widget configuration shared by a team.

This update makes it easier to navigate and investigate data while keeping shared dashboards consistent for everyone who relies on them. As always, we’re here to help you get the most out of the Interstacks platform. Reach out to discuss your project any time at info@interstacks.com.

Thanks for building with us!
